This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me. I created Wanderlust and Wet Wipes to be an honest and open blog and therefore I believe in honesty of relationship, opinion, and identity.
I abide by word of mouth marketing standards. This blog does contain content which could present a conflict of interest. Specifically, it outlines the types of information that I gather about you while you are using the wanderlustandwetwipes.com website (the “Site”), and the ways in which I use this information.

Your information is safe with me. I will never pass your email address to any unauthorised third party whether for free or for a charge of any kind (monetary or in-kind).
How I Collect and Use Information
This Site only contacts individuals who specifically request that I do so or in the event that they have signed up to receive my free email communications. This Site collects personally identifying information from my users during online purchasing. Generally, this information includes name and e-mail address for registration to receive my free newsletters. All of this information is provided to me by you.
I also collect and store information that is generated automatically as you navigate online through the Site. You’ll be pleased to know I also have a Cookie Policy for you to read at your leisure.
The information that you give to me directly on the site (e.g. within comments on blog posts such as your name and email address) is never shared or added to any mailing lists. You may request to have your details removed from my website storage once your purchase is complete by emailing me at [email protected]
Security
To ensure the security and safety of this site, I create daily backups of all information on this site, which are held in a zip file within my own email server. Each backup file is deleted in full when the next one is created.

The Site also includes links to websites I recommend or work with on a collaborative basis and provides access to products and services offered by third parties, whose privacy policies I do not control.
Some of the links I provide are affiliate links. This means if you click on the link and purchase the item connected to that link, I will receive an affiliate commission at no cost you. How I store subscriber information
Your information is stored at the list server that delivers this Site’s newsletters (https://MailChimp.com). Your information can only be accessed by those who help manage those lists in order to deliver e-mails to those who would like to receive this Site’s newsletters. I take steps to ensure that all Virtual Assistants I use to help me complete tasks are GDPR knowledgeable and compliant in their practices.
All of the newsletters or emails that are sent to you by this Site include an unsubscribe link in them. You can remove yourself at any time from our newsletters or mailing list by clicking on the unsubscribe link that can be found in every communication that I send you.
Security breach
In the event of a security breach on this website, I will notify you within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach.
In the event of a security breach on any third party server which I use to store your information (such as https://mailchimp.com) I will notify you as soon as I can reasonably do so and I have been notified by the third party.

What are cookies?
A small text file (up to 4KB) created by a website that is stored in your computer either temporarily for that session only or permanently on the hard disk (persistent cookie). Cookies provide a way for the website to recognise you and keep track of your preferences. (Thanks to PC Mag for the definition).
Some cookies are essential for me to run my site. These are considered lawful under European GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). I don’t need your consent to use these cookies but I ask you anyway. The thing is, my site may not work for you if you don’t agree to let me use those cookies at a minimum.
Other cookies are optional. They may be helpful to you – I’m thinking of cookies that remember what you put in your shopping cart last week for example. Or they may be helpful to me – for example, I have cookies tracking traffic to my site so I can see what posts are popular, etc. This helps me develop more relevant content for my readers in the future.
I don’t have third parties advertising on my site however, I do provide links from time to time to other sites that I think you might find helpful. Once you leave my site I have no control over what cookies those third party sites use.
